Edelweiss Mutual Fund has launched “Edelweiss Select Midcap Fund” which is an open ended equity scheme. The main investment objective of the scheme is to generate long term capital appreciation by investing in a portfolio of equity and equity related instruments of Midcap Companies.
NFO Open date: 4th August, 2011
NFO Close date: 18th August, 2011
NFO price per unit: Rs 10 per unit
The minimum application amount for investing in this scheme is Rs 5000.
The various options available for investing are:
- Dividend
- Growth
In the dividend option, you can choose between dividend reinvest, dividend payout or sweep facilities.
Entry Load: NIL
Exit Load: NIL if the funds are redeemed after 365 days from the date of allotment.
1 % if the funds are redeemed within 1 year from the date of allotment.
Portfolio Allocation:
The scheme plans to allocate 80% to 100% of the funds in the scheme to invest in the top 100 to 300 companies by market capitalization. The scheme will also invest upto 20% of the funds in debt and money market instruments.
